Titan™

Titan utilizes a safe, infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skin’s surface. This heating can cause immediate collagen contraction resulting in tighter skin. During the procedure, the skin’s surface (epidermis) is protected through continuous cooling with the Titan handpiece. After the procedure, new collagen growth results in further tightening with the improvement of lax skin, folds and lines.

Patients have been successfully treated on many areas of the body where the skin is lax. Loose skin along the jaw line, under the chin, the abdomen and upper arm have responded particularly well to the procedure.

2D means we are treating 2 depths within the skin. Our Titan treatment is a 2D treatment as we also incorporate IPL with that appointment keeping the temperature of the skin up for a longer period of time to firm and even skin tone.

3D treatments use 3 technologies; Titan (deepest), Genesis (middle) and IPL (shallowest) to target all 3 depths within the skin. A 3D treatment will always have the best outcomes because the skin is being kept at a temperature where collagen is stimulated over a longer period of time.

Since the titan procedure is heating tissue under the skin’s surface, patients of any skin type can be treated. Men and women of all ages and skin types are potential candidates. Your physician can advise you if the Titan is right for you.

A single treatment has produced very good results for some patients. Your physician will advise you as to the number and frequency of treatments recommended for optimal results.

Some patients see results immediately. However, for most patients, the results are gradual over a three to six month period as new collagen is formed and the skin tightens.

With each Titan pulse, you will feel a brief heating sensation. Some patients are more comfortable taking a mild pain reliever beforehand. Many patients are comfortable without anything. Your physician will advise you.

The Titan has been carefully studied in clinics around the world. It is cleared for the treatment of wrinkles in Europe and for general dermatologic use in Canada. In the US, it is cleared for topical heating to increase local tissue temperature and circulation. An additional 510(k) clearance is pending in the US for the treatment of wrinkles.

Contraaindications

Titan is NOT an option if:

• You are pregnant.
• You have cancer.

• Apply cool compress to treated area
• Local anesthetic may take 24-48 hours to dissipate
• Avoid unsanitary situations
• Avoid exposure to strong sun
